Rebranding / Redeveloping of existing site:
Just like the wallpaper in your livingroom, your website needs freshening up once in a while. I've been very lucky to work with clients who wanted to restyle and/or redevelop their existing web content. Lawrence Guyot from ETTE, in Washington D.C. contacted me in 2005 with three sites he needed 'freshening' up. As part of the process I took the sites from table based layouts and redeveloped them using web standards with xhtml & css. This meant the content and the design were not tied together anymore and the pages loaded much quicker. It also meant any change in the design later on would be much easier to do.
Having successfully redesigned ETTE sites once, it was nice the work with them on the new re-redesign. The company had rebranded and wished to use the new logo to direct the new design. I received a copy of the new logo and was asked to come up with a few designs. Due to the fact I had rebuilt the sites previously to web standards I was able to implement the the new design into a new css file and swap them over. There was a few slight alterations of specific standard files, but no major rebuild was required.
