Pull the trigger

So trying to do some relatively simple jQuery today had myself and an expert colleague scratching our heads.

A pop-up activates, no problem. It has two buttons. One calls the close() function to allow users to stay on the page and fill in more info. The second button navigates to the next page.

I added a class to the button to show the spinner as a sign of ‘something is going to happen’. But it just wouldn’t.

The page which fired the popular has a next button, in which there was a unique class.  I took this class and fired a trigger(“click”); But the browser just kept saying “Nope”.

In the end we resorted to a grab of the href, with the id for the querystring, then good old window.location’d it’s ass.
